Say what you will about taste and what series you personally like, sales do not lie. However this is Japan, and it stands to reason that the popularity of certain series will differ from country to country. So what do you think? Do you agree/disagree with One Pieces absolute dominance? What do you think a list from Australia/America would look like?

| Not a very surprising list really. I was expecting One Piece, Naruto, Fairy Tail and Bleach. Gintama and Ao no Exorcist makes sense.
But Gantz, is that really still going?
I am pretty sure Australia's list would be a switchup of One Peice, Bleach and Naruto (most like Naruto being the best seller) and the top ten including Negima, Soul Eater and Bakuman.
What really surprises me is that HunterxHunter is only 13th on that list, despite it being classified as the 'greatest shounen' of all time. Seriously.

| Subsequently, here are the top 25 best selling Manga in America for 2011. Of course, One Piece didnt nearly sell as many, though they don't publish actual figures of sales, just a general list;
"Officially, the ranking has been devised based on “interviews with retailers, distributors, and manufacturers” – which when translated out of its ambiguities presumably means sales, stock, and related financial, profitable, and potential aspects."
01.) Naruto – Viz Media 02.) Bleach – Viz Media 03.) Vampire Knight – Viz Media 04.) Black Butler – Yen Press 05.) Death Note – Viz Media 06.) Blackbird – Viz Media 07.) Rosario + Vampire – Viz Media 08.) Fullmetal Alchemist – Viz Media 09.) Dragonball & DBZ – Viz Media 10.) Soul Eater – Yen Press 11.) One Piece – Viz Media 12.) Maximum Ride – Yen Press 13.) | Subject: Top 100 Best-Selling Manga of 2012′s First Half Tue Jun 05, 2012 10:58 am
| Rather than make a new thread, here is the list I brought up on this weeks show, the top selling Manga (so far) this year. The first list is a general top ten sellers list, and after that is the list of 100 individual manga volumes that have sold the best in Japan. No surprise that One Piece still dominates.
1. One Piece [13,833,116] 2. Naruto [3,081,822] 3. Hunter X Hunter [2,721,003] 4. Space Brothers [2,684,223] 5. Kimi ni Todoke [2,316,005] 6. Fairy Tail [2,271,497] 7. Bakuman [1,986,502] 8. Kuroko’s Basketball [1,969,727] 9. Shingeki no Kyojin [1,725,725] 10. Bokura ga Ita [1,715,410]
The lack of such things as 'Bleach' and 'Blue Exorcist' demonstrates the power that the anime has on sales, with both shows anime ending.
Here is the top 100 individual mangas:

Kimi ni Todoke 16 [788,873] 8. Blue Exorcist 8 [762,604] 9. Shingeki no Kyojin 6 [736,761] 10. Thermae Romae IV [643,209] 11. Yotsubato! 11 [630,650] 12. Bleach 53 [624,801] 13.
